In Flight levels, selecting Quit will end your current run and take you to the scoreboard. Pressing this command will bring up the Pause Menu, where you can Resume, go to the Inventory Screen, go to Options, or quit the level/game. Holding the button down will make Spyro Roll continuously.

Effectively a form of strafing, Rolling is not used very often in the game, but with the right timing it can be useful against the Sleeping Dogs in the Town Square and Toasty levels. While on the ground, use on of these commands to make Spyro Roll quickly left or right. If you're playing on PS1, Pause the game or go to the Inventory to see this information.

Using this Reignited-only command will display your full amount of Gems, your total Dragon count, as well as Spyro’s total life count. ĭisplay the HUD (Reignited only) Consoles This can be done in any situation, except whilst Charging. Click the Left Analog Stick down like a button (called 元 on PlayStation 4) to have Sparx point to the nearest Gem in the level.

The Gem Pointer move is an ability for Sparx that is only available in the Reignited version of the game. Point to Treasure (Reignited only) Consoles For a more graceful landing, hold Down while Gliding. This is a handy move that's useful if you think you've overshot where you want to land, or would like to land on a specif spot. To Abort a Glide and drop straight down, use this command while Gliding. Helpfully, this does not disable moving the camera on the right stick, letting you comfortably use both options at the same time. If you're hankering for the setup from the PS1 version, switching to Retro Controls lets the triggers rotate the camera left and right. The default is Reignited, where the Left Trigger is used to snap the camera behind Spyro, while the Right Trigger uses the Flame Attack (allowing you to attack while also moving the camera with the right stick). If you're playing Reignited with a controller, you can go to the Controls section of the Options Menu to switch between two Control Schemes, Reignited and Retro. If your preference is for the original camera controls, see the section below. If you're playing Reignited with a controller, moving the camera is assigned by default to the Right Analog Stick, which allows you to tilt the camera up and down to peer over ledges or up in the air to more thoroughly explore the environment. Scroll down to the very bottom of the list and assign L2 to Right Stick Left and R2 to Right Stick Right. Hold down the PS button to bring up the Quick Menu, tap Settings, then Controller Settings, then Assign Buttons. If you’re playing the PS1 version on a PlayStation Vita, you can remap the camera controls to the right analog stick to make it like the Reignited version.
